My Sewing Machine Review (AKA- a hate letter to mine)

My sewing machine is my biggest tool and the one thing I count on almost every day, so in it's defense it does have a tremendous amount of pressure and high expectations from me.

However, the silly thing jams, jumps, and does things that I don't even know how to categorize. This isn't an everyday occurrence,-- it's an every second occurrence. I thread up, sit down with my fabric pieces and say a small prayer every time my foot touches the peddle. 1 out of 3 of the times I do this, the machine hums to life and slowly stitches my fabric like a champ.

The other 2 out of 3 time? It hums to life, takes the first stitches and then goes nuts with clanking and the peddle locks in self defense. Upon cutting my fabric away from the needle that refuses to lift, a large nest of thread is tied to my fabric and wound around the feet of my machine.

Maybe it's the tension, maybe it's something that is easily fixable. Let me know if you think you might understand the problem. Until then,

Dear Kenmore Sewing Machine,

You make my life miserable and
I really really can't wait to say goodbye to you.

Yrs,
mOlly

Starting Out

I found this adorable coin purse while cruising Etsy, and it can be found here

Following several blogs, and checking new blogs that are being created everyday is something that I've really enjoyed doing. I keep looking at other blogs and getting inspiration, ideas, and stumbling along to find some really great artists.

My journey has been quite crazy (although I'm sure yours could match/top mine). Things are finally beginning to slow down after having our son and moving into a new apartment that has a walk in closest (AMEN), where I can now store all my craft supplies.

So now I'm going to start this blog in hopes that I can give some good tips on crafting (mainly sewing), meet some fun people and share what I do.

My name is Molly and Deesum Designs has always been a dream of mine :)

Thanks for reading,
yrs, mOlly
